Maggie Sullivan was honored with a luncheon for 30 years of incredible leadership, service, and volunteerism with the Alzheimer’s Association on May 19, 2023 at Chandler Hall in Newtown. Maggie was presented with an award from the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association for her 30 years of service. She was also presented with a plague of appreciation from the friends, current, and former support group members that attended her award luncheon. Maggie has been facilitating Alzheimer’s caregiver support groups at Chandler Hall for 30 years. She has been an incredible leader in supporting caregivers on their journey with the ones they care for. Her incredible knowledge of Alzheimer’s and related dementias along with her empathy for caregivers make her an outstanding facilitator. So much so that some of her support group members keep coming back to her support groups even after their loved ones pass away. Maggie facilitates a group to learn from one another and also her expertise. She fosters a sense of hope and that we can find the answers to helping our loved ones get the care they need. She also encourages caring for the caregiver. For more information about The Alzheimer’s Associations Delaware Valley Chapter please call their 24/7 helpline 800-272-3900.
