Our Hicks Memory Care residence at Chandler Hall has two goals: to make residents feel right at home and ensure they live in a safe, secure, calm and compassionate environment.

Hicks Residence is a comfortable, home-like setting for people with dementia, Alzheimer’s or cognitive impairment. We center our care on the needs of each individual, their history, achievements, family and love, We search for the best ways to connect with them through personal interactions, providing encouragement, and adapt to their changing needs as well as empower them to continue the connections with staff, family and other residents. We cherish each moment of joy, friendship, trust and understanding they give back to us and we ensure they remain save and secure. We partner with our families to capture those unforgettable moments that happen through this journey of life.

Our spacious private and semi-private rooms allow for all the comforts of home, and our specifically designed dining area exudes a peaceful surroundings where residents dine according to their preferences, abilities and needs. Our activity program is tailored for calming the senses, while engaging interactions with other residents, staff, family members and volunteers.

We also offer a Respite Stay option (starting from 14 to 60 days) for you or your loved one to try us out for a stay before you decide to move in.

  • Beauty Salon and Barber Shop are available on campus
  • Nurse Practitioner is available five days a week and by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • PT/OT and Speech Therapy available on campus
  • Visiting team of specialists: dermatologist, podiatrist, dentist, laboratory services, vision provider, audiologist, and psychiatrist services

Support for the Whole Family

We understand that when a resident has needs for memory support, the whole family needs support, too. The relationships we build with family members allow us to tailor our support to the needs of each resident. Whether their interest lies in the garden, in music, or in reminiscing quietly, we have the skilled hands and caring hearts to meet them where they are on their journey. We will be beside you throughout it all.

You can even take advantage of our monthly Alzheimer’s Support group on campus led by Maggie Sullivan.
