It may feel wintry but,
our farmers have been working since the heat of the summer to provide nourishing veggies through the winter! Harvest this week should include apples, cabbage and Napa cabbage, bok choy, winter squash, salad turnips, dandelion greens, fennel, potatoes, garlic, red and gold beets, kohlrabi, carrots, arugula, escarole, lettuce heads, lettuce mix, greens mix, kale, chard, mushrooms, onions, flower power flower mix, broccoli shoots, happy heart greens, super salad, micro greens herbs and more.

Amazing preserved veggies, picked and preserved at the height of freshness! Check out the incredible goods from our vendors who harvest the summer bounty and preserve it for your enjoyment throughout the year.

Many other of their “authentic” flavors will also be available. Bring your appetite!  They will be making breakfast items at the market (Amazing Burritos, Buddha Bowls and Avocado Toast).

Red Cat Farm
Now that the Thanksgiving holiday is past, the Hanukkah and Christmas season is coming up quickly.  For your holiday baking needs, Red Cat Farm has beautiful white wheat flour, good for everything from breads to pastries, as well as whole wheat flour for quick breads, gingerbreads, and muffins. If rye bread is your choice, try the whole rye flour with your favorite recipe.
All of their flours are grown locally without pesticides or herbicides, milled locally, and brought to you fresh and ready for baking your holiday creations!  Try their samples of whole wheat gingerbread and apricot kifli at the market this Saturday! Also available are Rolled Oats, Whole Wheat Pancake Mix, Wheatberries, and Ryeberries.

Market Happenings

Please join us this Saturday and shop with ease at the first of our indoor winter markets!  Most of your favorite vendors from last season will be in attendance as well as a few new and returning ones (see below).

We are very grateful to Chandler Hall for hosting our 40+ vendors inside their spacious Wright Hall Auditorium. Please note the location is at Chandler Hall, 99 Barclay Street, Newtown PA.
 
Directional signs will be very visible once you arrive. Parking Lot Volunteers will be on foot as well as student Veggie Valet Volunteers to help carry your purchases if needed.
